Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Tuesday said that the seat-sharing of assembly seats among alliance members of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Maharashtra is a bigger struggle than the partition of India and Pakistan.

Maharashtra is a huge state and the sharing of 288 assembly seats is a bigger exercise than the partition of India and Pakistan. If we were in the opposition instead of being in the government, the picture would have been different,” senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut told media.

Raut further said that the seat-sharing issue is being resolved between Shiv Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the decision on the same will be conveyed to the media soon.

Earlier, senior Shiv Sena leaders including Diwakar Raote and Sanjay Raut has said that if Sena doesn’t get 140-144 seats, the alliance may end in Maharashtra.
