The winter session of Maharashtra Legislature will commence from November 19 and will end on November 30. The announcement was made on Thursday after the meeting of the Legislative Assembly advisory committee.

However, with Maharashtra farmers suffering from drought and similar issues, the opposition has objected to the proposed days for the session which amounts to only nine days. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Dhananjay Munde has demanded to increase the hours of the state’s winter session.
