State government to recruit for 72,000 posts in the agriculture department

Considering the need of hiring people to carry out work related to agriculture, on the rural level, state Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis approved the 'mega recruitment' for state’s agriculture department. This announcement was made on Wednesday. 

While answering the query in the last financial budget, CM said that in total there will be 72,000 vacant seats which will be filled in two phases. Likewise, in the first phase, the state government will fill 36,000 seats and in the second phase, will fill another 36,000 seats.

The positions open for phase 1, are in the following departments:

  • Rural development (11,000 seats), 
  • Public Health (10, 568 seats)
  • Home (7,111)
  • Agriculture (2,572)
  • Animal Husbandry (1,047)
  • Public Works (837)
  • Water resources (423)
  • Fisheries (90)
  • Urban Development (1,664)
