On the occasion of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray's 50th birthday, MNS is giving away petrol by ₹4 cheaper than the market price. MNS is giving petrol at a cheaper rate at 36 petrol pumps, the information of the same is available at the local MNS department office.

As of now, the petrol price stands at ₹84.3 litre but it is still affecting the commoner’s pocket.

Earlier, MNS announced that, on June 14, they would be giving petrol at a cheaper rate, compared to the market price, to provide a slight relief to common people and also to protest against the immense hike in petrol prices.

The difference will be paid to the petrol pump at the end of the day, MNS said, adding that the petrol pump would support their initiatives as they will not suffer any loss.

While celebrating his birthday, the MNS chief was greeted by his supporters at his residence and he cut a cake which replicated the EVM. Taking a dig at BJP for the alleged interference with EVM in Palghar Lok Sabha bypoll, Thackeray’s cake read: “Does this prove transparency for voting?”
