The conflict between Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and Amazon was much spoken about over the last few days after the e-commerce platform denied adding the Marathi language on the website. MNS, over the last few days, has been fighting over the addition and use of the language across Maharashtra.

Following the dispute, MNS has now shifted its focus to Western Railway (WR) and leaders from the Maharashtra Navnirman Railway Kamgar Sena have demanded WR to make the use of Marathi language mandatory in information leaflets and advertisements.

A letter regarding the same was sent to the General Manager of WR on behalf of Maharashtra Navnirman Railway Kamgar Sena, whereby leaders pointed that the railway authorities publish various brochures and advertisements on a regular basis and also share the information through social media. However, the use of Marathi language is not being used in the communication and this was not acceptable.

The party wants the railway body to use the state language and make it mandatory. The railway authorities have not responded to the request addressing which Maharashtra Navnirman Railway Kamgar Sena has warned that failure to follow this rule would lead to an intense protest and the body should consider implementing it on a mandatory basis.
