MNS winning candidate Sanjay Turade alleges attack by rival parties

Success has not been sweet for Maharashtra Navnirman Sena candidate Sanjay Turade, who won the BMC seat from ward 166 in Kurla. Turade has alleged that he and his party workers were beaten up by activists of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Shiv Sena on Thursday evening.

According to the complaint filed by Turade, he and his fellow workers were celebrating his win in the BMC elections after the results were declared by afternoon. BJP and Sena workers attacked him and his colleagues with knives and stones, he claimed. Turade said he and his workers have been injured in the incident.
