While rallying and campaigning ahead of the Lok Sabha election in Mumbai, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Gopal Shetty who is contesting from city’s North constituency was shown ‘black flags’ as a form of protest against him.

The agitated residents living in Shree Ambe Society in Borivali on Thursday protested against their sitting MP Gopal Shetty which led a clash between the people and BJP workers. However, the matter was quickly resolved as the police intervened.

As the residents of the society protested against Shetty, the BJP workers reacted aggressively and “misbehaved” with the people. Shetty was elected as an MP from Mumbai North LS constituency earlier in 2014 and defeated Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam.
