The Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) has dissolved its existing panel of official spokespersons and appointed senior leaders Vidya Chavan and Mahesh Tapase as the party's new authorised spokespersons.

The decision was announced by the party as part of an organisational restructuring aimed at streamlining its communication strategy ahead of key political developments in Maharashtra.

According to the party, Chavan and Tapase will now be responsible for officially presenting the party's stand on political issues, interacting with the media, and responding to developments on behalf of the organisation.

The move comes amid efforts by the Sharad Pawar-led NCP to strengthen its organisational structure and ensure a more coordinated communication mechanism. Party leaders said the restructuring is intended to improve the efficiency of the party's public outreach.

While the earlier panel of spokespersons has been dissolved, the party has not cited any specific reason for the decision. The appointments take immediate effect, with Vidya Chavan and Mahesh Tapase now serving as the principal voices of the party in public and media interactions.
