Police books man for 'objectionable' post against Congress leader Urmila Matondkar

Vishrambaug Police booked a 57-year-old man over an objectionable social media post against Congress leader Urmila Matondkar. The Police registered a case against Dhananjay Kudtarkar who resides in Pune, Maharashtra. 

The suspect had posted objectionable content along with derogatory remarks against Actress Urmila Matondkar on his social media account, a police officer informed. 

The 57-year-old has been booked under section 354(A) 1(IV) – Offence of making sexual remarks - of the Indian Penal Code and sections of the IT Act. At present, no arrest has been made as the police are investigating the case further.

Urmila Matondkar recently lost in the 2019 Lok Sabha election from Mumbai North parliamentary constituency. Congress' star candidate Matondkar contested against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Gopal Shetty.
