Vikhroli- Raj Thackrey lambasted the double standards of the Shiv Sena and BJP saying that they are responsible for the mess in Mumbai and their split is just an eye-wash to divert the attention from actual issues. He was addressing an election rally at Vikhroli.

He added that BJP is called as a party with a difference, the difference is that they will have all the money and the common man will be forced to queue at ATM's. He also mentioned how the Sena has been milking the BMC with overpriced and unnecessary contracts just to help their contractor lobby make more money.

While talking about the corrupt practices of the Sena run BMC, he specifically quoted the corruption in low-quality Tabs distributed in BMC schools. He said that at one end Marathi medium schools are closing down and at the other, the BMC is giving permissions to Urdu schools.

At another rally at Vile Parle, Raj mentioned that some people were happy that he was not campaigning actively. But this was due to the hospitalisation of his son Amit. Raj tried to strike an emotional cord while blasting other parties of their misdeeds. He spoke about how he was stranded in traffic while coming from Vikhroli to Vile Parle. He connected this to lack of infrastructure as well as inadequate sanitation facilities.

He took a dig at the Chief Minister while referring to one of his hoardings which say that “I Promise”.

Raj Thackery sarcastically mimicked the CM calling his a class monitor who is the teachers favourite but not popular among the classmates. Though he did refer to the CM as a good human being.

He spoke about the development done in Nasik Municipal Corporation by his party by giving examples of the Botanical garden and pot-hole free roads. He asked the voters to bring about a change by voting for the MNS and not falling prey to false promises of the Sena and the BJP.
