Andheri - After breaking ties with the Bhartiya Janta Party, the Shiv Sena is geared up to contest elections on its own. And it is taking care to see that party hopping is strictly discouraged too.
This is probably the reason why the Sena gave out AB forms, which give the stamp of official partydom to candidates, to six of its partymen recently. Sena MLA Anil Parab handed over the AB forms to the candidates calling them at his Bandra party office, going against the norm of first publishing the list in the party mouthpiece, 'Saamna'.
Former Congress corporator Bala Ambekar who recently joined the Shiv Sena, was also one of the recipients of the AB forms. Here's the full list.
