Shiv Sena leader Anil Parab attacked Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) after its leaders labelled Raj Thackeray as the ‘new Hindu Hriday Samrat’ (Emporer of Hindu Hearts).

The Sena MLA asserted that only late Balasaheb Thackeray is the ‘Hindu Hriday Samrat’ while stating that nobody else can claim to replace him.

"Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackery has made a huge contribution to the Hindus. This is why he is regarded as the ‘Hindu Hriday Samrat’. Nobody can become a ‘Hindu Hriday Samrat’ just by using the title and nobody else can claim his legacy,” said Parab.

On the occasion of Bal Thackeray’s birth anniversary, while addressing the gathering, Thane MNS President Avinash Jadhav stated that Raj Thackeray will the new ‘Hindu Hriday Samrat’.

The statement received a huge welcome from the gathering of MSN workers present at Goregaon.

The MNS workers in Thane also put up a poster on Sunday which referred to Raj Thackeray as the ‘Hindu Hridya Samrat’. The poster also read that Thackeray is the true heir of his Bal Thackeray’s legacy.

Earlier, during MNS’ first-ever conclave, Raj Thackeray launched a new party flag and unveiled the party’s saffron agenda. In a major shift, Raj Thackeray-led MNS dumped its party flag – a mix of saffron, green and blue along with train engine – changing the same to only saffron, in a major shift.

Hijacking the ‘Hindutva’ and ‘sons of the soil’ issues, the MNS chief said that these two will be the agendas for this party. On the occasion of Bal Thackeray’s birth anniversary, Amit Thackeray – son of Raj Thackeray – was also appointed as MNS leader.
