Mumbai – Shiv Sena candidate Samruddhi Ganesh is elected as the M/East ward Committee’s Chairperson. Seven candidates of Bharatiya Janta Party and Shiv Sena, 7 candidates comprising Congress, NCP and Samajwadi Party. Hard battle was expected, but at the very end moment, SP candidate took back his name resulting in the victory of Samruddhi Ganesh.
M/East ward houses 15 corporators which are as follows –

Deputy Mayor, Hemangi Warlikar announced Samruddhi Ganesh’s name as the Committee’s President. Samajwadi Party fielded Abdul Razzaq Qureshi as their presidential candidate of the committee.
