Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray at his residence Matoshri on Tuesday suggested Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Chief Mohan Bhagwat name for the presidential candidate. Sena Spokesperson Sanjay Raut suggested NCP Chief Sharad Pawar’s name for next president on Monday.
Uddhav Thackeray said, “I don’t know what is going in everybody’s mind, I had this thought in mind that Mohan Bhagwat is the right presidential candidate.”
With top leaders LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharti going through the trial for criminal conspiracy in 1992 Babri Masjid Case it would be interesting to see who will get the presidential throne.
On Senior Congress Leader Narayan Rane joining Bharatiya Janta Party, Uddhav Thackeray said that “this is the unanimous decision of Narayan Rane and BJP. I just want to congratulate both of them.”
