Pali - Prime minister Narendra Modi had appealed to the people on 8 November to support the junking of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes, asking them to bear the “pain” for “50 days” to help him deliver the “India of your dreams”.
Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has now said that a mere eight - ten days are left for this deadline, and that his party would seek askance from the BJP after that. Thackeray who was in Pali in Raigad district on Tuesday, also spoke on the land acquisition issue on Nagpur-Mumbai highway. "We will not let injustice happen to farmers, and will not let farmers' land get sold at cheaper rates," he said.
