Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections this month, Congress candidate Urmila Matondkar and Patidar leader Hardik Patel – the new stars of Congress – on Sunday will jointly address a ‘Mega Youth meet’ in Andheri, Mumbai.

Urmila Matondkar is contesting LS polls from Mumbai North constituency and Patel, who recently joined Congress, will be campaigning for her by jointly addressing a rally.

The Patidar leader from Gujarat will also be campaigning for Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam.

Nirupam, who is contesting from Mumbai North-West LS constituency, said that this will be a mega-rally for Congress. In the rally, Matondkar and Patel will be interacting with the youth.

Patel had joined Congress with an intention to contest in the LS polls. However, the Patidar leader was denied the opportunity because of the pending criminal cases against him. Patel had earlier filed a petition in Supreme Court challenging the decision taken by Gujarat High court. However, the petition was rejected by the apex court.
