In a recurring incident, a lady on Friday attempted to commit suicide in Mantralaya. The young woman jumped from the sixth floor of the government building.
Fortunately, her life was saved due to the wire mesh placed on the first floor of Mantralaya. The woman was later taken into custody by the Marine Drive Police.
The woman is a resident of Ulhasnagar and visited Mantralaya on Friday to sort some work. However, she jumped from the sixth floor of the building.
After inquiring, the Marine Drive police took her into their custody. It is being said that the woman was mentally unstable. However, no official statement regarding the same has been put up.
There have been many cases of suicide attempt in Mantralaya which have been reported. The wire mesh was installed after such incident only.
