According to reports, petrol prices saw a hike across all four metro cities in the country on Tuesday, September 28, after over 2 months, while diesel prices rose for the fourth consecutive day today.

This came as international crude oil prices had climbed to a three-year high. Petroleum companies, which have been holding back fuel prices in the wake of rising crude oil prices, have now hiked both petrol and diesel rates.

While petrol had become expensive by up to 19 to 25 paise per litre, diesel price was up by 24 to 27 paise per litre.

Latest Petrol Price:

Mumbai - INR 107.47/litre

Delhi - INR 101.47/litre

Chennai - INR 99.15/litre

Petrol and diesel prices are at an all-time high across the country, with Bhopal having the highest rates of petrol and diesel in the country.

Earlier, on September 1 and 5, petrol prices were cut by 15 paise. However, there has been no change in petrol prices since then. Petrol rates were last increased on July 17.
