Usually, when we talk about short films or documentaries, we only think of male directors as not many women have entered this field. There are a few women directors such as Sumitra Bhave, Samruddhi Pore who have made a mark. To boost many women directors, Sahit has come ahead with the first-ever special short-film festival which will take place in Goa.

Where will the festival take place?

This is the first time, Sahit organisation has organised such a festival in Goa. Here, national and international films of women directors will be screened. The organisation wants to cater to more women directors.

There are many women directors but they don't get a chance to screen their movies. So, we decided to give a platform to such directors by organising this festival,” Kishore Shinde, Founder.

Participation details

Girls and women of any age can participate in this film festival. Interested participants can submit their short-films of 30 mins duration limit, published between January 1, 2013, and December 31, 2017.
