In an attempt to assist the Pulwama terror attack victims' families, a Mumbai Vada Pav stall owner has donated his day's earnings to them. On February 22, he sold Vada Pavs at a cheaper rate of ₹5 per vada pav instead of ₹14.
The owner, Mangesh Ahiwale sold 10,080 Vada Pavs and earned ₹50,400 on February 22. Accordingly, next week, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut will go and meet martyr Nitin Rathod's family and donate the money to them. Nitin Rathod who hails from Maharashtra's Lonar taluka, was one of CRPF officials who lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Pulwama, Kashmir.

Mangesh has been associated with similar activity and has donated to soldiers' families by dedicating a day's earnings to the martyrs' families. Earlier in 2015, he had taken up an initiative to donate money to the drought-stricken areas of Marathwada and Vidarbha.
On February 14, over 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were martyred in the terrorist attacks at Kashmir’s Pulwama.
