Dhanbad FA to set up football training centre in Mumbai

AIFF accredited non-residential professional football academy based out of Dhanbad, the Dhanbad Football Academy will be setting up a football training centre in Mumbai. This association will strive to provide training for boys and girls under the age of 18 during the season from October 2019 to May 2020, to ensure they strengthen the Under-10 to Under-18 categories.

The trainees will get an opportunity to participate in the AIFF Junior I-League, MDFA Youth League and other tournaments. Trials for the same will be conducted to select the trainees and will be held at the Karnataka SA football ground, Cross Maidan, on the following days:

  • October 5, Saturday and October 6, Sunday from 8.00 am to 9.30 am
  • October 9, Wednesday and October 10, Thursday from 4.00 pm.

Shekar Bangera, ex AIFF XI (India), Maharashtra State, National (player), will be the head coach and coordinator. Bangera holds an AFC Football Coaching and Goalkeeper level-1 coaching license from AFC –Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
