Tanzania's Alphonce Simbu first among intl runners

Mumbai - Alphonce Simbu from Tanzania breasted the finishing line first among international participants at the full 14th Mumbai marathon this morning. The Kenyans also put up an impressive show.

Joshua Kipkorir from Kenya came in second, while Borned Kitur from Kenya was first among the women.

Simbu completed the run in 2.09.32 hours, while Kipkorir took 2.09.50. Eluid Barngetuny, also from Kenya, who came in third, clocked a timing of 2.10.39.

Jacob Chesari who came in fourth, had a timing of 2.11.36 while Bonsa Dida who came in fifth, clocked 2.11.55.
