Satish Sabnis Memorial FIDE Rapid Rating Chess Tournament 2025: 7th Edition Wraps Up

The 7th Edition of Satish Sabnis Memorial FIDE Rapid Rating Chess Tournament 2025 which concluded at Uttar Bhartiya Hall in Bandra Saw 270 entries with FM Suyog Wagh as a top seed.

There were 181 International Rated Players which contained 1 International Master 7 FIDE Master and 1 Women FIDE master.

11th Seed Paras Bhoir became the Champion by Defeating the top seed FM Suyog Wagh.

Suyog in the last game playing with black pieces opted a solid defensive sicilian defense. The game in which suyog was slightly better made a mistake of touching a queen instead of the king and had to make a wrong move. Paras took the advantage of the position and won the game comfortably to clinch the title.

On the 2nd board FM Vedant Panesar who is Tata steel selected students and MSDCA player won the game against Daksh Jain making his point tally to 8 points.

On 3rd Board Pushkar Dere won against Guru Prakash making his points to 8 as well.

On better Tie break Pushkar came second followed by FM Vedant Panesar.
