Google finally launched its e-payment wallet in India which will allow people to securely pay for goods and services both online and offline and also make person-to-person (direct) transactions.

‘Tez’ which means ‘fast’ in Hindi, will link your mobile to your bank accounts and will let you make payments on the go.

Search giants Google will link up with major banks in the country through Unified Payments Interface (UPI), a payment system launched by National Payments Corporation of India and regulated by the Reserve Bank of India which facilitates the instant fund transfer between two bank accounts on the mobile platform.

Google launched the app on Android as well as the App Store.

The app allows users to do financial transactions like sending money, receiving payments directly into their bank accounts and paying bill.
