Free Wi-Fi for Mumbaikars

Mumbai- In this era of fast internet, Mumbaikars will get to enjoy 3GB data in coming days. Next week, PM Narendra Modi will launch this service. The state government is planning to install 1,500 Wi-Fi hotspots across Mumbai, out of which, 500 Wi-Fi hotspots will be installed in the first phase. The estimated cost of this project is Rs. 194 crores and these hotspots will be installed at Chowpatty, Gateway of India, railway station and other areas. 20-25 people will be able to enjoy this service at a time. The contract has been given to L&T’s MCX company. In total 500 hotspots has been tested at Mantralaya's Aarsa gate, Garden gate and Girgaum chowpatty.
