27 members of a Marathi TV show test positive for coronavirus

Coronavirus cases in the state of Maharashtra have been increasing exponentially, and the state government has allowed some activities to resume under the revised guidelines. One of the activities was resuming TV and film shoots across the state, post-which several actors and crew members tested positive for COVID19.

As per recent reports, some of the cast of the Marathi TV show, 'Aai Mazi Kalubai' have been infected with the virus. Veteran actress from the show Ashalta Wabgaonkar's health has suddenly deteriorated. She was admitted on September 16, 2020, and is currently undergoing treatment at Wai-based Pratibha Hospital. Reports state that her condition is critical and she is on  ventilator support.

A total of 27 members from the Sony Marathi show are coronavirus positive. The TV soap was being shot in Satara, and it is said that a dance group from Mumbai might have been the carriers of COVID19. 

The show stars Alka Kubal and  Prajakta Gaikwad in the lead roles in the series, and the shooting began after the revised guidelines were issued by the state under the 'Mission Begin Again' initiative.
