Renowned actor Salman Khan has several ventures under his name, and after managing his career successfully so far, Salman is said to have started planning for his passion project – Salman Talkies. The actor has been winning hearts on screen for many years now and has a passion for theatre. Reports state that the team is working on the same and expects to finalise a plan soon.

He spoke about the same in a recent interview with ETimes, where he shared that Salman Talkies is in works, and he is eagerly waiting to announce the same to his fans. However, this project will focus on offering the best experience in non-metro cities, especially small towns, where theatres and big screens don’t exist.

He has confirmed that the plan hasn’t been cancelled and hopes that the announcement will be made soon. The project was temporarily put on hold during the COVID pandemic, and the process is beginning slowly. Salman Talkies will be made operational in smaller towns and not cities like Mumbai. A report published in 2018 mentioned that the plan was to start a chain of theatres with tax-free tickets which will also be sold at subsidised cost.

The plans were discussed with a few producers, distributors, and exhibitors to learn the market. It is being said that the first was expected to start in Maharashtra, post which expansion would be held in other cities.
