Air India to soon begin Mumbai-Dehradun flights

Soon, passengers from Mumbai can take a flight to Dehradun as Indian flight carrier Air India has decided to introduce the service soon. The announcement for the launch of the service was made by Air India Chairman and Managing Director, Ashwani Lohani after he met Uttarakhand CM, Trivendra Singh Rawat.

Accordingly, CM Trivendra Singh Rawat also asked the airline to initiate flight service between Dehradun and Pithoragarh. Rawat also said that the state government is making attempts to create airstrip at Chaukhutiya to boost air transport in the state.

Currently, there are no flights between Mumbai and Dehradun which is a surprise since Dehradun is a tourist-friendly spot. The tourists tend to use connecting flights to reach Dehradun via Mumbai.
