CM inspects Metro-3 project, expresses satisfaction over pace of work

Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis inspected the Metro-3 project work on Monday night. The CM’s tour started from Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) and concluded at Cuff Parade. Fadnavis expressed satisfaction over the progress of the project, informed Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC).

The development agency also clarified that 2500 workers and 160 machines are being deployed to carry out the Metro-3 project work and work of 2000 pillars has been completed under seven packages.

Fadnavis instructed the MMRC officials after inspecting the project. The MMRC is taking efforts to complete the project on scheduled time and its work is underway in three casting yards. A team of technicians from Singapore is soon to inspect the TBM technology.

Meanwhile, the sudden inspection of Metro-3 project by the chief minister has raised eyebrows. Zoru Bathena, an RTI activist, said that if the CM would have visited this project during day time people would have drawn his attention towards slaughtering of trees for this project.
