Mumbaikars were left enraged when Central Railway goofed up with a local train announcement.
On Tuesday morning, around 10:30 AM, at Wadala, there was an announcement that the train will go to Bandra and so commuters heading towards Panvel got down. However, the train started running towards GTB station instead of Kings Circle. This startled the commuters who pulled the chain and stopped the local.
Irked commuters then did a rail roko between Wadala and GTB station because of which trains got late by 5-6 minutes.
Commuters misunderstood as indicator showed Panvel but commuters did not see it. So, when the train left for Panvel, they pulled the chain and did a rail roko,” Pravin Patil, PRO, Central Railway.
