Mumbai - Long distance trains bound for north India from Mumbai have been delayed because of fog.

The winter season in the northern states of our country is characterised by foggy weather, affecting visibility. Railways have decided to reduce the frequency of some of the trains well in advance, which traverse through the fog affected areas. The Central Railway has been affected badly, and dozen of trains have been cancelled. Trains arriving from the north are being delayed by hours, resulting in trains leaving from Mumbai also being delayed in turn. A Central Railway spokesperson confirmed that trains are being delayed by an estimated seven to eight hours.
