Kandivali- You can travel free on a BEST bus, but only if you are lucky and the BEST's electronic Trimax ticket issuing machine goes on the blink. On Wednesday evening, 20-25 commuters got to travel free on an BEST bus no 287, thanks to the Trimax ticket machine that malfunctioned en route.
These commuters were traveling from Kandivali station to Thakur Village. The conductor tried turning the machine on several times, but his efforts went in vain. And that is how the lucky commuters got to travel free, legally. The BEST undertaking, needless to say, suffered a loss.
