Local train derails between Kalyan, Vithalwadi

Mumbai - The Central Railway's suburban services were hit once again between Kalyan and Ambernath as bogies of a local train running from Kurla to Ambernath derailed near Vithalwadi at 6.10 am.

The traffic between Kalyan and Ambernath ground to a complete halt. Pune bound trains have been affected too. It will take around two hours for normal traffic to resume, the CR has announced. Traffic on Kalyan-CST route continued to be normal. A local shuttle service was immediately started between Ambernath and Karjat railway stations to offer some relief to the commuters.
