The Cuffe Parade-Bandra-Seepz-Aarey underground Metro 3 line has been receiving good response from passengers since it started running at full capacity. In the month of October, 38 lakh 63 thousand 741 passengers travelled on this route. An average of 1 lakh 41 thousand passengers are travelling on this route every day.
Mumbai's first underground and longest underground metro line runs between Aarey and Cuffe Parade. When the first phase of the line was put into service in October 2024, it carried 19,000 daily passengers. This number increased to around 70,000 after the second phase began in May 2025. Since the last phase entered into service on October 9, the daily passenger count has increased to around 1.5 lakh.

The expected passenger traffic on this route is 1.3 million per day. Given the response received from passengers, the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) is confident that Mumbaikars will use this route in large numbers in the future.
