After Central Railways' Parel Station received an upgrade and was turned into a Terminus, Western Railways' Jogeshwari station is set to become Jogeshwari Terminus. Accordingly, out of the 32 long-distance trains, 16 trains will be run from the new terminus.
This is expected to increase the number of long-distance trains from Western Railways and therefore, the rail corporation has decided to turn Jogeshwari station into Terminus. The budget for the rail project has been approved.
Thus, the terminus will witness the addition of new 42 footover bridges. Accordingly, around ₹187 crore has been allotted for the project.
