In a significant development, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Monday, July 6, flagged off the Nanded-Mumbai and Tanakpur-Nanded Express trains, besides inaugurating the extension of the Tanakpur-Pilibhit train service up to Shahjahanpur through video conferencing.
These trains will pass through several important cities, linking major industrial, cultural, and regional centres across India.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh, Union Minister of State Jitin Prasada, Union Minister of State Ajay Tamta also joined the event through video conferencing.

Additionally, Members of Parliament - Ashokrao Shankarrao Chavan, Dr. Ajeet Madhavrao Gopchade, Ravindra Vasantrao Chavan, Balwant Wankhade, Kavita Santosh Mule, Nanded Mayor Waghala, Member of Legislative Council Amarnath Rajurkar and other dignitaries graced the occasion at Hazur Sahib Nanded Railway Station.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister of Railways said Nanded is a spiritual and pilgrimage centre especially for the Sikh community and these trains have paved the way for increased connectivity of Nanded with Mumbai, Uttarakhand and the Northern areas. Vaishnaw also said that a number of trains pass through Manmad-Bhusaval-Akola route, but these Nanded-Mumbai trains flagged off today also cover the areas like Washim, Hingoli Deccan and Basmat providing the much needed connection with Vidarbha and Marathwada regions.
Inaugural special service of Nanded-Mumbai Express
The inaugural service of the 07667 Nanded-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express was flagged off from Hazur Sahib Nanded .
The train ran with 18 LHB coaches including 2 AC 2-Tier, 4 AC 3-Tier, 6 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class, 1 Generator Van and 1 Second Seating cum Guard’s brake van.
Halts: Purna, Basmat, Hingoli Deccan, Washim, Akola, Malkapur, Bhusaval, Chalisgaon, Manmad, Nashik Road and Kalyan.
Regular service of 2 Nanded-Mumbai Express will start as follows:
• Train no 17667 H S Nanded-LTT Express with effect from 08.07.2026
• Train no 17668 LTT- H S Nanded Express with effect from 09.07.2026
• Train no 17665 H S Nanded-LTT Express with effect from 13.07.2026 &
• Train no 17666 LTT- H S Nanded Express with effect from 14.07.2026

(A) 17666 / 17665 LTT-Nanded-LTT Weekly Express
Train no 17666 LTT-Nanded Weekly express will depart LTT every Tuesday at 16.35 hrs and will arrive H S Nanded at 09.10 hrs next day.
Train no 17665 Nanded-LTT Weekly express will depart H S Nanded every Monday at 21.15 hrs and will arrive LTT at 13.40 hrs next day.
Halts : Kalyan, Nashik Road, Manmad, Chalisgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Akola, Washim, Hingoli Deccan, Basmat and Purna.
(B) 17668 / 17667 LTT-Nanded-LTT Weekly Express
Train no 17668 LTT-Nanded Weekly express will depart LTT every Thursday at 16.55 hrs and will arrive H S Nanded at 09.10 hrs next day.
Train no 17667 Nanded-LTT Weekly express will depart H S Nanded every Wednesday at 21.15 hrs and will arrive LTT at 13.00 hrs next day.
Halts : Kalyan, Nashik Road, Manmad, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Akola, Washim, Hingoli Deccan, Basmat and Purna.
Composition for both trains: 1 AC First Class, 2 AC 2-Tier, 6 AC 3-Tier, 7 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class, 1 Generator Van and 1 Second Seating cum Guard’s brake van.
