Rapido, India’s largest and most affordable one-stop mobility platform, has launched dedicated Marathi language-learning resources for its Bike, Auto, and Cab Captains in Maharashtra, becoming the first mobility platform to undertake such an initiative.

The initiative comes in response to Maharashtra’s mandatory Marathi language requirement for drivers. Rapido has stepped forward to provide them with accessible tools and resources to learn the language and adapt to the requirement.

As part of the initiative, Rapido has created three dedicated YouTube channels, with separate learning content for its Bike, Auto, and Cab Captains. The content is designed to help Captains learn Marathi quickly and support their ability to communicate effectively as they provide mobility services across the state.

The three dedicated Marathi learning channels are:

  1. For Cab Captains - Rapido Cab Dost Mumbai: YouTube channel
  2. For Bike Captains - Bike Dost Mumbai: YouTube channel
  3. For Auto Captains - Rapido Mumbai: YouTube channel

The initiative reflects Rapido’s broader focus on supporting its Captain community with practical resources that help them navigate evolving requirements and continue providing mobility services effectively. By making the learning content available across multiple digital touchpoints, Rapido is enabling Captains to access the resources conveniently and learn at their own pace.

Speaking about the initiative, Rohit Rathod, Vice President Operations, Rapido, said, “As Maharashtra strengthens its focus on Marathi language proficiency for drivers, we wanted to support our Captains in adapting to the requirement. Rapido is the first mobility platform to create dedicated Marathi learning channels for its Bike, Auto, and Cab Captains. We believe that supporting our Captains means going beyond simply communicating a requirement; it means providing them with accessible and practical resources that can help them adapt. Through our YouTube channels, in-app nudges, WhatsApp channels, and Rapido Dost pages, we are making these resources easily available to our Captain community across Maharashtra.”
