No toilets for physically challenged at 22 Central Railway stations: RTI

There are no toilets for physically challenged people at Mumbai’s 22 Central Railway stations revealed a Right To Information (RTI) report filed by RTI activist Shakeel Ahmed.

Ahmed sought an information about a number of toilets available for physical handicap on Central Railway stations. As per the information received, out of 76 stations, there are no toilets for physically challenged people at 22 railway stations.

  • Currey Road
  • Nahur
  • Palasdhari
  • Kelavli
  • Dolavli
  • Lovji
  • Vashi
  • Sanpada
  • Jui Nagar
  • Nerul
  • Seawoods Darave
  • Belapur
  • Kharghar
  • Mansarovar
  • Khandeshwar
  • Rabale
  • Atgaon (no toilets for women as well)

Ahmed wrote a letter to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal demanding to build toilets for both physically challenged people and women commuters as well.
