Travel duration for Mumbai-Delhi Rajdhani Express to be reduced

There is good news for travellers that frequent Mumbai-Delhi route, as the journey between the two cities via Rajdhani Express trains is all set to become faster. The passengers will be gifted with faster Rajdhani Express trains as Western Railways has announced that all the Rajdhani Express coaches will run on push-pull technology.

The decision comes after a successful trial run of the prestigious Rajdhani Express lad with push-pull technology. Therefore, the journey duration will come down by almost an hour just because of the technology.

Currently, Western Railways is running five train services between Mumbai and Delhi. Out of which, one of them has successfully been compliant with the push-pull technology whereas the four others are yet to be lad with the technology. Currently, Western Railway is installing the necessary equipment required for the push-pull technology.

Meanwhile, it is expected that the work to implement push-pull technology will be concluded by the end of December. Accordingly, Western Railways will be preparing a new timetable after taking in consideration, the journey duration of new Rajdhani Express.

A Railways' spokesperson said that once the timetable is prepared, the people will be informed.
