The Mora Mumbai waterway in Uran has been closed as the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a sea hazard warning due to heavy rains and bad weather due to the gale force winds that broke out on Tuesday. Therefore, passengers and drivers on this route have to travel long distances by road. The port department has expressed the possibility that this service will start on Friday.
This service is available during monsoon season from the three ports of Uran namely Mora, JNPT and Karanja, Mora to Mumbai, JNPT to Mumbai and Karanja to Revas (Alibag). The sea is rough due to gusty wind, heavy rain and bad weather. Therefore, this water service has been stopped as it is dangerous to passengers.

Mora Port Officer Nitin Koli has informed that the water service from Mora to Mumbai (Bhaucha Dhakka) has been stopped due to the IMD’s warning.
