Kristalina Georgieva, Bulgarian politician and current chief executive officer of the World Bank travelled on the second class compartment of a Western Railway local train this morning.
The motive behind the journey was to assess the success of the suburban rail network in Mumbai which has been set up with World Bank aid. Georgieva is in the city currently to visit the Mumbai rail network as well as the school system in the city.
Georgieva was accompanied by senior Western Railway officials during her ride from Churchgate to Dadar. She later took a car ride to Dharavi where she will be inspecting the local schools.
