For the benefit of passengers on the occasion of New Year’s, the Mumbai division of Western Railways (WR) has decided to run eight special local train services during the midnight of December 31, 2022 and January 1, 2023.
Releasing an official statement, the WR said that these special trains include four services from Churchgate to Virar and four from Virar to Churchgate.

These special trains will run between 12 am to 5 am. For those unversed, the last train from Virar to Churchgate is at 12:05 am while from Churchgate to Virar is at 12:50 am. Meanwhile, the last train services between Churchgate to Borivali is at 1 am.
In addition to this, the WR and CR has also decided to run special long distance and express trains to clear the passenger rush during winters and holiday season.
