For the Holi Festival 2026, special trains on special fare have been introduced to manage the extra passenger rush during the Fagun Pheri period. A weekly special train (Train No. 09023/09024) will operate between Bandra Terminus (BDTS) and Palitana for just one round trip, with Train No. 09023 departing from BDTS on February 27, 2026 (Friday) and Train No. 09024 departing from Palitana on March 1, 2026 (Sunday).
Additionally, a weekly superfast special train (Train No. 09075/09076) will run between Mumbai Central and Kathgodam. Train No. 09075 will depart from Mumbai Central every Wednesday, while Train No. 09076 will depart from Kathgodam every Thursday. A total of five trips are planned in each direction, one trip in February 2026 and four trips in March 2026.
Another weekly superfast special (Train No. 09185/09186) will operate between Mumbai Central and Kanpur Anwarganj. Train No. 09185 will leave Mumbai Central every Sunday, and Train No. 09186 will depart from Kanpur Anwarganj every Monday. Six trips are scheduled in each direction, one in February 2026 and five in March 2026.
Booking for these special trains will open shortly at reservation centres and on the IRCTC website. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys early, as the Holi season typically sees very high demand and limited seat availability. Authorities have requested cooperation from passengers.
