Mumbai: Man murdered in a dispute over a bicycle in Girgaon

A 55-year-old man died in Girgaon after a father-son beat him up over a dispute over a bicycle. In this regard, a case of murder has been registered in the VP Road police station and the accused father and son have been arrested.


The incident took place in Parijat Sadan area of Mugbhat Lane in Girgaon. Son of deceased Mukesh Morajkar (55) parks his bicycle under the building. Due to the dispute, Vipul Raut (32) and Vikas Raut (62) beat Morajkar with kicks. Also, his head hit the wall, the complaint said. Morajkar fell down after this beating. He was immediately taken to GT Hospital however the doctors there declared him dead.

A case of accidental death was registered in this case. However, Morajkar's wife Mohini Morajkar filed a complaint at the VP Road police station and said that Raut's father and son had beaten up her husband. After that, the police registered a case of murder in this case. Police arrested both Vikas and Vipul from their residence on Thursday midnight in this case.
