On 18 December 2018, Modi came to Phadke Maidan in Kalyan to inaugurate CIDCO housing projects along with metro route projects organised by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Authority. This time, Modi gave a speech for 21 minutes.

BJP Union Minister Kapil Patil is contesting in Bhiwandi Lok Sabha Constituency on behalf of Grand Alliance. Shiv Sena MP Dr. Srikanth Shinde is contesting the election. MP Shinde is known as a highly educated candidate. During the last ten years, MP Shinde brought funds of more than two and a half thousand crores to Kalyan Lok Sabha Constituency for development works. Concrete roads in this area played an important role in facilitating the vital projects of citizens. Dr. Shinde has played an important role in laying the Kalyan-Taloja, Ulhasnagar, Badlapur metro lines. Although MP Shinde has made it rain for development works, a section of this area is a little upset with MP Shinde's working methods. Taking care of these displeased people, the functionaries of Mahayuti have launched a campaign.
