Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone to play Ram-Sita in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayan?

Ace filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar recently announced their big-budget project, a trilogy based on the Ramayana. The film is estimated to have a budget of 500 crores, and as per recent updates mentioned on Filmfare, Hrithik Roshan will be seen as Lord Rama in the film.

Produced by Madhu Mantena, Allu Aravind and Namit Malhotra, the film will be a live-action trilogy in 3D, and will be made in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Further, a news report from the Times of India also mentioned that Deepika Padukone has been cast opposite Hrithik Roshan to play the role of Sita.

Sources also state that Hrithik thinks Ramayana would be one of the most ambitious projects for him, however, no confirmation has been received regarding the same. Official announcements about the film and casting will be made soon.

Currently, Nitesh Tiwari is working on his upcoming release Chhichhore starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor. The trailer of the film will release on August 4, 2019, and the film will hit the screens on August 30, 2019.
