A few months ago, Indian Oil Corporation had declared that it will introduce the first-of-its-kind home delivery of fuel in India. The service that began at Pune, Maharashtra, and other cities, proved to be successful. After which, the company will now provide its services in other cities as well, starting from Chennai.

The fuel dispenser looks like the regular which is available at petrol pumps and will dispense the fuel the same way through the fuel stored in the tank. However, until now, the only service available is the dispensation of diesel.

It is expected that the move will benefit large fleets of commercial vehicles as it will save both time and money for the fleet owners. Also, it will assist people in remote areas where the fuel stations are located at faraway distances.

The diesel can be ordered through a mobile application and the customer must have a minimum order of 200 litres of diesel. Whereas, consumers ordering more than 2,500 litres should have a PESO license for storage to avail the service.
