As per the Bombay High Court’s directives, the BMC has completely covered the Dadar Kabutarkhana with tarpaulin to prevent pigeon feeding. However, members of the Jain community have now found a new location to feed pigeons, despite the court's ban on such activities in the area. Local residents report that this new practice is clearly violating the court's order.

Illegal Kabutarkhana Started on Building Rooftop

Previously, people tried feeding pigeons by scattering grains on the footpath or placing it on car roofs tactics the police cracked down on. But now, an illegal kabutarkhana has reportedly been started on the rooftop of a building next to a Jain temple.

Pigeon Flock on Rooftop Raises Health Concerns

Grain sacks are being emptied on this rooftop, attracting thousands of pigeons, causing major inconvenience for nearby residents. The original purpose of shutting down the kabutarkhana was to control the nuisance caused by pigeons. However, this rooftop feeding spot is being seen as an open challenge to both civic authorities and the judiciary.

Citizens have complained of serious health problems due to pigeon droppings and feathers, and have demanded immediate action against this newly created feeding area.
