In a first of its kind initiative, the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) has now launched a conductor-less bus on two routes in South Mumbai on Wednesday, October 23. The buses will ply between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Gateway of India and from Churchgate to Nariman Point.

These buses wouldn't stop on any other place except for its destination i.e. Gateway of India and Nariman Point respectively. The commuters have to purchase their tickets from the initial stops before boarding on the bus.
Commuters gave a positive response to it as the buses will ply during the morning and evening in rush hours and will ensure that the passengers reach their destination as early as possible.
