PNB Scam: Mehul Choksi files petition seeking cancellation of non-bailable warrant

Fugitive Businessman Mehul Choksi, one of the main accused Punjab National Bank (PNB) scam worth ₹13,000 crore, has moved a petition before the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court. 

Choksi sought the cancellation of the non-bailable warrant which had been issued against him. Meanwhile, Choksi informed the court that he will be unable to travel due to his poor medical condition and risk to his life. Choksi filed the petition after his nephew, and another main accused in PNB scam, Nirav Modi was arrested in London. In the petition, he has stated that he is suffering from heart diseases for a long time.

However, on the contrary, Congress has claimed that Choski has carried out registration for his new complaint in Britain. Attacking the central government, Congress said that they are not serious about extraditing him.
